HUD Announces $10.3 Billion in Grants for Housing and Community Development
On May 17, 2022, HUD announced more than 10 Billion in grants for housing and community development grants. This includes much needed investments in new affordable housing, tribal housing, as well as long overdue capital fund investment for public housing modernization.
“This funding is an investment in our communities and provides important services to some of our most vulnerable residents,” said HUD Secretary Marcia L. Fudge. “Our local partners will be able to use these resources to boost housing supply, expand economic opportunity, and lift up American families.”
The new funding for the HOME Program, CDBG, Housing Trust Fund, and other CPD funding will act as a catalyst to developing much needed affordable housing and improving communities throughout the country. Read all about the funding on HUD’s Press Release.
