  • Compliance Analyst

    US Housing Consultants, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our industry-leading team of Compliance Analysts. As a member of our team, you would perform file reviews and approvals on a wide-ranging of funding programs, including HUD, Tax Credit, Public Housing, and others.  Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for affordable housing compliance, experience in the industry and is ready to become part of our team of compliance professionals

    To join our team, candidates must have strong knowledge of HUD Section 8 and LIHTC programs, and experience working with and/or auditing HUD/LIHTC/HOME/RD/PHA files. Candidates with knowledge of additional programs such  USDA/RD, HOME, and Public Housing may be given preference. Additionally, candidates with industry certifications such as COS, C3P, HCCP are preferred. However, the most important qualifications are a desire to learn, work well with customers of all backgrounds, provide calm and intelligent advice, and have a genuine appreciation for helping others.

    Qualified individuals must have the following skills and abilities:

    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Independent, motivated, and resourceful
    • Ability to interact professionally and have excellent interpersonal communication
    • Be comfortable with business travel, including air travel, rental cars, and hotels
    • Detail orientated, analytical, and possess accuracy in basic math skills
    • Computer literacy; familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) software services a plus
    • Must have a valid Driver’s license and be 25 Years or Older

    US Housing Consultants is based in Concord, New Hampshire. However, the compliance services team is a remote workforce, so potential candidates can be located anywhere in the United States. Periodic travel to the main office and industry events will be required.

  • Property Condition Assessor

    US Housing Consultants is seeking a full-time property condition assessor to perform property condition assessments on multifamily properties throughout the country. This position will focus on preparing Capital Needs Assessments and Property Condition Reports (PCR) in accordance with the ASTM Standard E2018, which provides lifecycle analysis, estimated costs to remedy the physical deficiencies and long-term asset management planning.

    We are looking for strong relationship builders who are looking for an opportunity to increase their income potential as a Property-Condition-Assessor. US Housing Consultants is a nationwide consulting firm that focuses on affordable housing, though property condition assessments are not limited to affordable housing projects.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepares Capital Needs Assessments to include cost estimates to remedy building deficiencies.
    • Conduct property inspections to assess the condition of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, structure and foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, and site work improvements.
    • Interview property owners, occupants, key site personnel, and local government officials to obtain information concerning the subject property’s condition.
    • Review repair/improvement cost information, certificate(s) of occupancy, maintenance reports and logs, Building and Fire Department inspection reports, and similar information to determine the condition of the building.
      Takes document photographs of representative systems, conditions, and physical deficiencies.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • 5-7 years commercial building evaluation or commercial design experience with a general understanding of all building systems: site work, structural, building envelope, fair housing design requirements, and multifamily housing design and operations.
    • Applicants who are certified as either a BPI, Professional Engineer, or Architect may be given preference.
      Capital Needs Assessments and similar reports require often complex information to be communicated in an easy-to-read format, following plain writing objectives.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
    • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
    • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills. The position requires simultaneously managing electronic deliverables for several ongoing assignments.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
