US Housing Consultants, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to join our industry-leading team of Inspection Consultants. As a member of our team of Inspection Consultants, you would perform HUD UPCS and Pre-REAC inspections on assisted housing properties. Inspection Consultants work both regionally and nationally, working with owners and agents of HUD and Tax Credit assisted properties to remain in compliance with national inspection standards.
To join our team, candidates must have a general knowledge of building systems and components, and a willingness to learn about effective ways to evaluate multifamily and assisted living assets. Candidates with prior experience in affordable housing, building maintenance, construction, and professional inspections are preferred, but anyone with an interest is welcome to apply. Inspection Consultants work throughout the country and have to travel to properties, some travel may be local and other travel will include air travel. The day-to-day job of an Inspection Consultant requires a lot of walking, and travel to and from properties. Daily hours may vary, and occasionally travel on Sunday is required.

US Housing Consultants is seeking a qualified professional to serve as Inspection Protocol Trainer for HUD REAC UPCS and NSPIRE. As an Inspection Protocol Trainer, candidates would perform both live in-person training events as well as webinars. The candidate must have excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate complicated materials conversationally and emphatically.
In this role, the Inspection Protocol Trainer would have the opportunity to become a leading expert and thought leader on HUD REAC Inspections and work with companies and government agencies throughout the country. Eligible candidates must present a knowledgeable and optimistic view of HUD Inspection Protocols and compliance inspections.
The Inspection Protocol Trainer is responsible for the following:
Eligible candidates should have at least ten years of experience in affordable housing as well as the use of inspection protocols on rental housing. Preference will also be provided to candidates with experience in syndication, asset management, and/or compliance monitoring. Eligible candidates must be able to perform public speaking at a level that is engaging to persons ranging from frontline maintenance and management staff to senior executives.
US Housing Consultants is based in Concord, New Hampshire, but employs a remote workforce environment. The candidate would be required to travel regularly to training events and internal company meetings and events. The inspection protocol trainer position would report to the Vice President of Training and would be supported by the training department.

US Housing Consultants is based in Concord, New Hampshire. However, the compliance services team is a remote workforce; as such, potential candidates can be located anywhere in the United States. Travel for onsite work and industry events will be required.
If you are knowledgeable in HUD and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits programs, have experience with auditing files, are good with numbers and rules and regulations, are analytical and resourceful, are a team player who can work well independently when given direction, and are able to travel 75% of the time and have good customer relation skills, you may be what we are looking for.
