These inspections have been used for preparing for REAC Inspections, completing annual unit inspections, due diligence inspections at property acquisitions or sale for both HUD and LIHTC, Inspection of properties prior to LIHTC audits, and many other issues. Municipal Housing Inspection Services
U.S. Housing Consultants has been working with cities throughout the country to develop new zoning regulations, ordinances, and laws that require that non-subsidized housing apartments meet the minimum housing standards of UPCS Inspection codes. We are providing training, insight, and inspection services to cities that want to see an end to the tragedies of apartment fires and other instances of renters being harmed by housing that is not being maintained properly. Enforcement mechanisms vary widely, but what we've seen from our perspective is that the non-intrusive minimum condition inspection makes it easier for cities to understand where the issues are that need to be addressed, again preventing possible tragic ends and giving market rate renters the same protections that the federal government gives HUD and LITHC properties.
